Without question Andrew Dosunmu’s  Mother of George is the most stunningly beautiful film released this year, and now it’ll look even better, if that’s possible, when it's be released on blu-ray DVD.

Oscilloscope Pictures has announced today that they will release the film on blu-ray DVD early in 2014, on February 4th.

The film stars Isaach De Bankolé, Danai Gurira, Yaya Alafia, and Angélique Kidjo

No word yet as to extra features that will be included on the disc, but it’s impossible to think that it won’t have a wealth of special features on it.

We’ll keep you informed.

I just saw this last night and it was fantastic. I'm still swooning. I don't do Blu-Ray, but I'll be first in line to buy the standard DVD.
