Tonight at 8pm EST/PST, the Documentary Channel will air the USA national television premiere of Little Brother: Things Fall Apart.

The details:

The traveling series of short documentary films... gives Black boys a unique voice. During the 2010 decade, filmmakers Nicole Franklin and Jasmin Tiggett take an annual look at Black boys as young as nine years old in various urban environments for a one-on-one conversation demystifying what society tends to rob them of: Love. Little Brother, a caring documentary about the hopes, dreams, and experiences of black boys, is as important as it is necessary. This endearing documentary series presents black boys as dignified and fully human, which makes Little Brother a filmic exception, rather than the rule.

Yes, that's the same Jasmin Tiggett who writes for Shadow And Act, so you know Little Brother has to be something worth your while :)

Again, tonight at 8pm EST/PST; and if you miss that, there'll be a repeat broadcast at 11pm EST/PST, on the Documentary Channel.

Subscribers of Dish Network (Channel 197) and DirecTV (Channel 267) across the USA will be able to watch the broadcast.

And while you're watching tonight, join the live Little Brother conversation on Facebook and Twitter, which will happen simultaneously. To join the conversation, just use the hashtag #littlebrotherfilm on Twitter, or tag Little Brother on your Facebook posts with @Little Brother.

More from the series creators:

This documentary series was created to spark a dialogue within our communities, so we can't wait to hear what kind of conversations it starts in your home. Watch with a child, student, teacher, mentor, family member or friend. Discuss the film together, and share your thoughts with us online.

In addition to the national broadcast, Little Brother: Things Fall Apart will join a growing selection of documentaries available via the Documentary Channel's DOC Store, starting at the time of the broadcast.
