Something to look forward to next month...

That new Marvel Blade anime series we told you about several months back will premiere on the G4 channel (for those with cable TV) on Friday, January 13th at 11 pm ET/PT, and will be followed by another 11 successive half-hour episodes every week thereafter.

Harold Perrineau provides the voice of the titular character, the supernatural Daywalker known as Blade, as Marvel promises "more action, terrifying villains and bloodthirsty monsters than you’ve ever seen before."

Official synopsis reads:

A master of weaponry with a desire to avenge the death of his mother, Blade finds himself in Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia in an effort to take down the evil villain, Deacon Frost. With vampire hunter Makoto at his side, they will stop at nothing to destroy Existence, a vampire organization with roots deeply embedded in Asia.

I'll certainly be checking this out when January 13th comes around.

In the meantime... you might remember this teaser trailer that surfaced back in June, thought it's in Japanese and not the official trailer, which I hope will surface soon:

I watched all the Japanese episodes online a few months ago, and I can definitely vouch for this series being very good. Better than the movies.

Adultswim should have jumped on this.
