The new clip below highlights the Sharpeville Massacre - the tragic March 1960 event during which South African police opened fire on several thousand demonstrators, who were protesting against the "pass laws," at the township of Sharpeville, killing 69 and injuring over 100. This event signaled the start of armed resistance in South Africa, and prompted worldwide condemnation of South Africa's Apartheid policies.
