It didn't reach the $100 million box office figures we thought it would, but still a more than respectable (if not surprising) $95 million box office take worldwide - $91 million of it collected here in the USA.
Clearly, with those numbers, many of you saw it in theaters; for those who didn't (or even if you did, and want to own it on DVD/Blu-ray, or rent it), you should know that Think Like A Man is out on both DVD and Blu-ray today, August 28.
The Blu-ray features 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements that include five behind-the-scenes featurettes, a gag reel, and an Ultraviolet Digital Copy.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $35.99. and about $30 for DVD.
Producer Will Packer stated earlier this year, before the movie was released, that Screen Gems would back a sequel to Think Like A Man if the first one did well.
And it obviously did well, on a $12 million budget, which lead Screen Gems to officially announce a sequel in June - a no-brainer there.
Although, lots of questions to be answered here, like: will the entire cast return? What will the story (or stories) follow? Will Tim Story return to direct? Etc
We know that Will Packer will return to produce via his Rainforest Films shingle, with partner Rob Hardy, and Steve Harvey (who wrote the book the first film was based on) returning to executive produce.
Writers Keith Merryman and David A. Newman who wrote the first one, will do the same for the sequel.
No date as to when production will begin, nor when it can be expected to be released.
But in the meantime, you can order your copy of the first Think Like A Man, right now on Amazon.com HERE.
