All films we've highlighted on this blog; if you haven't seen any or all of them, pick them up on DVD and Blu-ray this week. Note: some of them have been on VOD/digital download for some time, and still are. So, that's another viewing option for you, if you're not into DVDs and Blu-rays.
- Flight (starring Denzel Washington, directed by Robert Zemeckis, from a script penned by John Gatins). The acclaimed drama also boasts an exceptional supporting cast including John Goodman, Don Cheadle, Kelly Reilly, Bruce Greenwood, Melissa Leo and Brian Geraghty. Denzel is nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for his performance in the film.
- Tyler Perry's Alex Cross, which features a supporting cast of solid actors in Cicely Tyson, Giancarlo Esposito, Matthew Fox, and Ed Burns. I actually never saw this at the theater, so I just might give it a look now that it's on home video.
- Victoria Mahoney's Yelling To The Sky - the coming-of-age drama that stars Zoë Kravitz, Antonique Smith, Gabourey Sidibe, Tim Blake Nelson, Jason Clarke, Yolonda Ross, and Shareeka Epps. I believe this has been available on iTunes for some time. So, look for it there as well.
- Rashida Jones' Celeste & Jesse Forever, which she co-wrote and co-stars in, alongside Will McCormack, as a young married couple who find themselves going in different directions in life, decide to get divorced and try to remain friends. I haven't seen this either, so I'll check it out as well.
That's it on the new list for this week!

A lot of these movies look incredibly entertaining. My wife is really looking forward to watching Alex Cross, and Iâm looking forward to Flight. Iâm almost tempted to buy them, but I spend way too much on movies Iâve bought over the years that only get watched once or twice, so Iâm going to put them in my Blockbuster @Home queue, and rent them instead. While working at DISH Iâve stayed informed on all DISH products and services, thatâs how I discovered and tried out Blockbuster @Home. I used to buy all the movies I wanted a while ago, and my bank account hated me for it. Once I started renting movies and video games from Blockbuster @Home, I noticed that because of its flat monthly fee how much cash in my budget it freed up. I think Iâm going to use that extra money to save up for something new, like a better TV.

Dang! Flight doesn't even open in Geneva until next week. That was fast.
