British multihyphenate Noel Clarke has signed up to star in The Habit of Beauty, from directors Enrico Tessarin and Mirko Pinchelli, their first feature.

Scheduled to shoot in London and Florence later this year, the drama co-star Francesca Neri, and will be set against the backdrop of the 2011 London Riots.

Clarke will play a successful gallery owner whose difficult, unpredictable godson is from the same tough neighborhood where he grew up.

Actress Neri will play Clarke's ex-lover, who's devastated by her recent break up with a photographer whose latest collection is set to be exhibited at the gallery Clarke’s character owns.

When the photographer disappears with his photographs, Clarke and Neri go to Florence in search of him, as secrets are revealed/discovered during the journey.

The project was selected for Film London’s Production Film Market last fall, and is being backed by Epic Film Capital.

Director Tessarin previously worked with Clarke on last year's romcom The Knot.

The pair (Tessarin and Clarke), plus co-director Pinchelli, are said to be also developing a documentary about strip clubs.

Clarke will next be seen in Star Trek Into Darkness.
