“It’s loosely based on my life and my career. I have four kids by three different moms... It will showcase my skills as an actor, which is something I want to do after football."
Words from notorious NFL pro Mr Terrell Owens on a new TV sitcom being developed for him to star in. It'll be called 8 & 1 (Owens' jersey number with the numerous teams he's played for, but also the number of people who'll make up his fictional character's (Terrell O'Neal's) family in the series; mimicking real life, that figure will include 4 kids, 1 mother, 1 best friend, and 2 "baby mamas."
Owens, who once starred in his own reality TV show, will also be making his feature film acting debut in the ensemble comedy feature Dysfunctional Friends (still above-right), starring alongside Stacey Dash, Meagan Good, Tatyana Ali, Reagan Gomez-Preston, Persia White, and many others.
The film will be making its debut at the American black Film Festival this year, where I currently am, which means I'll probably see the film.
On his skills as an actor, Owens had this to say: “It’s no different from football -- it’s all about hard work... I have a good work ethic. If I can put the same effort into acting. Now I watch a movie and I pay attention to camera angles and body language. It’s 3-D.”
So I expect we'll see more of Owens on both the big and small screen in the near and distant future; he can't play in the NF forever...

Another example of the acting craft being misused and abused. The "I can do it" mentality reigns again.

Please. He couldn't even make me believe he actually liked black women in his goofy cameo on Single Ladies.
And a television based around him and his 2 or 3 baby mamas? My, there's positive imagery for you. B)
