From a press release I just received...

Nicole Ari Parker, Danny Glover, Giancarlo Esposito and Sean Faris are gearing up to shoot what is beind dubbed a "sexy, urban drama of the film noir genre... an urban re-visualization of the classic film Body Heat," titled Burn.

The erotic thriller tells the tale of a beautiful young temptress (played by Nicole Ari Parker) as she sets up her lover (Sean Faris) to take the fall for he husband's death. The press release doesn't say who's playing her husband, but we can guess it'll either be Danny Glover or Giancarlo Esposito.

Burn is produced by Arlene Knight of Knight Visions Entertainment, who says the New Orleans-set film will benefit from its location: "it's sultry, the music, the culture, the food, even the climate all play a part in the seduction. I think the audience will be seduced as well."

Shooting on Burn is scheduled to begin in November.

No word on who's directing, or who penned the script. But we'll find out soon enough.

A little digging revealed that Meagan Good was once attached to star in the project, playing the lead role.

Actually, Danny Glover would play the cop!

A black version of the white version of Double Indemnity. The creativity and originality are awe-inspiring.

Good idea, setting sounds great but wrong cast.

I don't know if I can see Nicole having chemistry with either of these gentleman, although both men are great actors.

Danny Glover is definitely the second name I want to see attached to an erotic thriller. Haven't seen Body Heat, but I'd guess Glover as doomed husband (that would justify calling Parker "young") and Giancarlo as a detective searching for the truth.
