Nate Parker would have joined Samuel L. JacksonJosh BrolinSharlto Copley and Elizabeth Olsen in Spike Lee's Oldboyplaying a doctor who works with Olsen's character.

Not anymore; thanks to scheduling conflicts with another project Nate is shooting (likely the Liam Neeson airplane thriller Non-Stop), he can't do Spike's Oldboy, and will be replaced by James Ransone, who has worked previously with Spike, on Inside Man.

Lee is directing from a script penned by Mark Protosevich, who will also co-produce, along with Roy LeeDoug Davison and Nathan Kahane of Good Universe.

This would have been a reunion for Parker and Lee; Nate co-starred in Spike's Red Hook Summer.

He can currently be seen with Richard Gere in Nicholas Jarecki's Arbitrage, which opened September 14.
