I think I'll write up a separate post, listing all the projects that Kevin Hart is attached to that are coming up in the next 12 - 18 months.
Here's another one.
Warner Bros has hired Tropic Thunder writer Etan Cohen to direct Hart and Will Ferrell in a comedy titled Get Hard.
In Get Hard, Ferrell will play a rich, effete investment banker who is sentenced to a maximum security prison for a crime he didn’t commit. 30 days before he begins his sentence, he hires a "streetwise guy" to prep him/toughen him up for his time in prison - hence the title.
The script was penned by Ian Roberts & Jay Martel, who are executive producers and showrunners on Comedy Central’s Key & Peele.
Gary Sanchez is produce.
Hart is maybe one of the busiest actors/comedians working right now. I've lost count of the number of projects he's been attached to since the break-out success of Think Like A Man; actually, maybe it started before that - his stand-up comedy concert Laugh At My Pain, also did some impressive damage at the box office, for a film of its ilk.
Since then it's been one film and/or TV project after another, announced.
Other upcoming projects for Kevin Hart include, starring alongside veterans Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone in a film called Grudge Match, in which he'll play a fight promoter who gets both old men to return to the ring; a remake of the 1986 rom-com, About Last Night, starring Hart, Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant and Regina Hall; Also Ride Along, starring Hart and Ice Cube in the action comedy; there's also The Wedding Ringer, which stars Hart and Josh Gad, and in which Hart plays a charismatic guy who provides best man services for socially-challenged guys, who can’t get anyone to stand by them on their wedding days; and there's the sequel to Think Like A Man.
On the small screen, you'll see him in BET's Real Husbands Of Hollywood, when it returns for another season.
But there's still more...
It's race between Hart, Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson.
Principal photography on Get Hard is expected to begin soon.
