No rest for Dwayne Johnson apparently. This dude just continues to pile on project after project, after project, etc... I don't know where he finds the time. He starred in 5 movies this year, and currently is booked for at least 5 in 2014. And let's not forget his TV show, and his sometime appearance on WWF and WWE.

We can add this to his upcoming slate...

The actor is attached to star in Relativity Media’s adaptation of the best-selling memoir Not Without Hope by Nick Schuyler, which follows four friends - Schuyler along with NFL players Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, as well as Schuyler’s best friend, Will Bleakley, a former University of South Florida football player - on a fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico when their boat capsizes, stranding the four men at sea.

Johnson, in what is said will be a much more dramatic role for him, will play Schuyler in the movie.

“Nick Schuyler’s book is extremely moving, and Relativity is proud to work with the Rock, Nick and the entire team on creating a movie that honors this powerful story,” said Robbie Brenner, president of production for Relativity.

Johnson, who's proven himself as a go-to action movie star, will get to flex his range as an actor in this one - himself a former college football player for the U. of Miami Hurricanes in the 90s, which should assist.

Johnson recently completed shooting on the MGM/Paramount collab Hercules, and is currently shooting Fast & Furious 7 in Atlanta. He is also staying busy in TV with the TNT reality show The Hero on course for a 2nd season, as well as the untitled HBO pilot about athletes in Miami that Mark Wahlberg is producing and Pete Berg is directing.

Like I said, he's busy.
