A few days after it was announced that Brit Noel Clarke was cast in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek sequel comes word that Indian-born Canadian actress Nazneen Contractor (an alum of the once hit TV series 24) has been cast opposite Clarke, playing his wife in the film.

As you may recall from my post last week, Clarke's character has yet to be fully revealed, other than the statement that he'll be playing a family man with a wife and child.

Still no word on how plump Clarke's role as family man will be; but at least we know his wife will be a hottie :)

She is fiya. She is probably going to play a latina. The choice was obvious.

She is indeed! But, if Noel is playing British & she's his wife, odds are she'll play Brit or straight up Indian. They wanted both nationalities for his wife as well as Black & Middle Eastern, but stressed British.
