Between Us, about "two friends looking for love in the wrong places, with a contemporary twist," is currently in the works from House star Omar Epps at his BrooklynWorks Films production company.

The feature film script is written by Epps, who also plans to star and produce along with Tracey Edmonds' Our Stories Films. Bryan “Baby” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams will finance the production under their Young Money Cash Money Billionares (YMCMB) label, which is seeking to expand its brand.

According to Epps, the search for a director is under way, with production desired to begin in late summer/early fall.

Epps has had a string of TV and film projects in development lately, including one-hour drama Southern Gothic with co-producer Alfre Woodard, Travel show Mile High with stars/co-producers David Arquette and Mike McGuiness, coming soon to Travel Channel, and the recent Ty Hodges-directed musical You, Me and the Circus, which comes to VOD this summer.

I wasn't aware of the latter, so for those of you that are curious, have a look at the trailer below:

I remember watching all the hype behind his directorial debut, a music video by brooklyn rapper: Special Ed, and it was a nice video, if that mean anything;-)

Ok, I'm probably having a simpleton moment, but how do we share individual stories to Facebook. I can only "Like" them.

Look to the upper left of the screen. There is a facebook icon with a "share" button.

I don't know if many of us were aware of all the things Omar Epps was doing behind the scenes. This is actually impressive. He seems to have learned a lot in his career and is putting it use as a producer. Even the projects he is choosing seem interesting. As bad as it maybe be for blacks in cinema, we still have people making impressive strides with Herculean efforts. It's inspiring. Thanks S&A for spotlighting these individuals.
