I'm also thinking seriously about movies again and looking at scripts. I have some upcoming projects at HBO that I'm really excited about acting in.

Words spoken by Oprah Winfrey in an exclusive interview with TV Guide, in which they talked about the rough 1st year of her new netowkr OWN, its future, and, of course, what projects she's working on outside of OWN.

I already wrote about her announced interest in returning to acting, a few weeks ago, stating that she'd been chatting with Broadway producers about starring in future stage projects, as well as talking to her pals, directors Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels and Jonathan Demme about potential roles in upcoming films.

Still no word on what roles specifically, nor in what future projects by each director, or on Broadway. Her above quote from the TV Guide interview is the only new piece of info we have on the matter.

But so we can now say that we know she has "some upcoming projects at HBO" that she's going to be starring/co-starring in. What exactly those projects are, is anyone's guess. I'll keep my antennae up for any new HBO projects, coming up in the next 12 months, that might be a fit for her.

I do remember that she's teaming up with HBO to produce a mini-series on the life of Martin Luther King Jr. But I don't think she'll be acting in that; although, who knows, she just might, maybe in some peripheral role. I dunno...

Other than that, there aren't any other HBO projects I'm currently aware of that Oprah is attached to in any way, whether in front, or behind the camera. It could be something directed by any of the directors she mentioned she's been talking to about roles.

So, stay tuned...
