The Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles has officially announced that it is now accepting submissions for next year's festival. The festival, which will be held on February 9-20 2012, will mark the its 20th anniversary, making it the longest running black film festival in the country. (Not to brag, but the Black Harvest Film Festival in Chicago will celebrate its 17th year next month, so we're getting there)

Of course it goes without saying that any film and video dealing with people of African descent of any genre are welcome to be submitted. The deadline is October 31, 2011. However films that are currently in production or post-production can also be submitted as works in progress, though they must be completed by December 31, 2011.

For more info including submission rules, fees and registration, go to the festival's website HERE or call (310) 337-4737
