"Phunny Business" Documentary Premieres On Showtime Thursday

After its successful film festival curcuit run, the documentary Phunny Business, which chronicles the rise and fall of the legednary black Chicago comedy club All Jokes Aisde, will be seen nationwide when it makes its premiere on Showtime this Thursday Feb 23 at 8:30PM (7:30PM Central time).

Directed and produced by John Davies, produced by Reid Brody and co-written by Davies and Raymond Lambert (pictured above), who was also the film's exec producer and co-founded All Joke Aisde, the club was the one of the country's preeminent comedy clubs, where literally every black comic you know of working today got their start.

It's a genuinately terrific film that's well worth watching:
