These pics of Rosario Dawson, courtesy of Caught On Set, were snapped in London earlier this week on the set of Danny Boyle's upcoming art heist thriller Trance.

Dawson plays the lead in the film which centers around an assistant (played by James McCavoy) "at an auction house masterminds [an art] heist and teams up with a gang of thieves, but suffers a blow to the head and wakes up with amnesia. He is the only one who knows where the painting’s location is and after his continued failure to remember, the gang begins to suspect duplicity on his part and hire a female hypnotist to get into his brain.”

The film, set to be released early 2013, also stars Vincent Cassel. There's a couple more pics after the break.

She has said she's black, Puerto Rican, and whatever. Most people acknowledge her blackness. I wouldn't call that hiding her race. She played the black chick in Josie and the Pussycats - which is the first time I noticed her (saw He Got Game later).

Vin Diesel is another matter entirely.

@JLa I thought Rasario was black or Afro-Cuban...
Vincent Cassel is one of my favorite current actors can't wait to hear more.

If I decide to bind my breasts and take on male roles, are you going to continue calling me a female? It's obvious I would like to be thought of as a man.

She has only been featured in Latino mags, only referred to her Latin roots and only taken Latin or racially ambiguous roles. Let her be Latino. I don't know why black people force anyone out of the closet. Just stop giving them publicity as well. Same with Vin Diesel, why feature him?

Interesting premise. The loot must be of priceless worth into the late hundred millions, for 'the gang' to suspect 'duplicity' in McEvoy? Also, interesting connect that Cassel one of le thiefs??? Night Fox a la Ocean's Twelve?

NOT claiming to be black! Why the profile?
