Not really a follow-up to T.D. Jakes 2004 film Woman Thou Art Loosed, the indie thriller On The Seventh Day about a couple in search for their missing daugther, has just released its first poster and film image. The Codeblack Entertainment film, which premieres at the Pan African Film Festival next month (see Tambay's post HERE), hits theaters April 13th, 2012

On The Seventh Day stars Blair Underwood, Sharon Leal, Nicole Beharie, Pam Grier, Nicoye Banks, Reed R. McCants and T.D Jakes. Underwood and Leal play the married couple searching for their child. Grier plays a detective who's taken on the case.

Here's the full synopsis:

Kari (played by Sharon Leal) and David Ames (played by Blair Underwood) have seemingly built the perfect life until Kari’s dark past is unveiled following the kidnapping of their 6-year old daughter. As the couple desperately searches for their child, Kari realizes she’s not the only one who has secrets. Forced to confront the truth, life spirals out of control for both of them in this independent psychological thriller.

Take a look at the image and full poster of the film below.

I like the image. Sharon is beautiful and Blair is so handsome. Confused by the title. Shouldn't "On the 7th Day" be more prominent?

Its the lighting...not an attempt to distort reality.

Mr. Jakes, when are you coming to Arizona? We all want to attend to one of your sermons in person. We love you!! <3 God bless you!

Why do Blair's eyes look hazel in this poster? What's wrong with a handsome brown man having brown eyes? I'm troubled by this. Or, is this just a really bad Photoshop job?

Probably is the lighting esp if shining down into his face. His eyes are dark brown but sometimes in pictures you can see more "brown-ess" depending on flash photography being used. My eyes do the same thing. No biggie.

They look brown on my monitor but you are right. There is no need to lighten or whiten a person of African descent!
