Timely, given that he just passed away. Though it was made long before he died.

Titled Joe Frazier: When the Smoke Clears, the documentary, co-produced and directed by Mike Todd, purports to be "the story of the REAL Joe Frazier;" his personal life, boxing career and the demise of his iconic Philadelphia gym.

Containing "extensive and unique observational" footage  thanks to the filmmaker's "unparalleled access" to the boxing legend.

Over three years in the making, Joe Frazier: When the Smoke Clears is currently touring the festival circuit (it premiered on yesterday evening at DocNYC Festival - a premiere Frazier was supposed to attend, but obviously didn't). In addition, limited special screenings are planned for the future, as well as an eventual home video release.

There's a lot more info on the film's website, which you can find HERE.
