One of the 16 projects to be pitched during the Latin Side of the Doc 2012 event, is French director Martin Meissonnier's feature doc, Dancing City, which explores various "urban" dance styles and troupes in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Key criteria for projects selected to be pitched at the Latin Side of the Doc event include that projects must have universal appeal, targetting a wider audience.

I wasn't successfull in digging up much more about the project, other than what's within this post. It's a French-made film about South African dancers, so it might have that fish out of water element to it.

It's on my watchlist though.

Luckily I found a promo for it, which is embedded below.

I should note that, at the end of the promo is an announcement that the film will be broadcast in on French TV towards the end of November.
