"Queen Of The Damned" With Aaliyah Coming Out On Blu-Ray DVD In Sept

Warner Home Video has been throwing caution to the wind lately, and has been pretty aggressive announcing new blu-ray DVD releases of their older titles, from the 1970's to the early 2000's.

Warner Home Video has been throwing caution to the wind lately, and has been pretty aggressive announcing new blu-ray DVD releases of their older titles, from the 1970's to the early 2000's.

And now, adding one more to the list, is the 2002 horror film Queen of the Damned, which will come out on blu-ray/DVD on Sept 18th.

The film starred Aaliyah as Queen Akasha "an ancient immortal set on world world domination." (Well somebody's got to do it)

O.K., so no one would call this film great, or even good for that matter. In fact it's downright stupid. Though one could argue, to be kind, that they were intentionally going for a "campy" tone.

But you'll recall that it was Aaliyah's final movie, having died in a horrific plane crash just months before the film's release.

And one has to wonder what kind of film career she might have had, if she lived.
