Quinton Aaron & Jordin Sparks Join Cast Of New 'Left Behind' Film Adaptation

Likely best known for his role in the blockbuster The Blind Side, and she, for her starring role in Sparkle, Quinton Aaron and Jordin Sparks have both joined the cast of the reboot of Left Behind, which is based on the bestselling series of novels by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LeHaye.

Aaron and Sparks join Nicolas Cage, Chad Michael Murray, Cassi Thomson, and Nicky Whelan.

To be directed by Vic Armstrong, and co-written by Paul Lalonde and John PatusLeft Behind follows a group of survivors 'left behind' after millions of people around the world disappear, who have to learn to survive in a world that is quickly plunging into chaos and destruction.

You might recall the first and most recent adaptation (2001) of the Left Behind books which starred Kirk Cameron, and was also written and produced by Paul Ladone.

The book series has sold more than 65 million copies in the U.S.

Filming is taking place in Baton Rouge, La. 

Jason Hewitt and his Films In Motion are executive producing along with J. David Williams.
