Replacing them will be Bow Wow, and he'll be joined by Ms. Mykie, Paigion and Shorty Da Prince - co-hosts who were contest winners of The Search for new hosts for the popular BET series, beating out thousands of host hopefuls to earn their spot as the new co-hosts of 106 & PARK. Congrats to them all!

Per the press release below, the 3 winners will join Bow Wow 5 nights a week, to bring the best of urban/pop culture, hottest music videos and A-list celebrity guests to BET viewers.

NEW YORK, NY – October 1, 2012 – “106 & PARK” enters a brand new exciting era. BET Networks revealed today that the new hosts of “106 & PARK” will be Bow Wow, Ms. Mykie, Paigion and Shorty Da Prince. Having the most appearances in the show’s 12 year show history as well as guest hosting several times, Bow Wow also known as “Mr. 106 & PARK” will follow in the steps of previous hosts, A.J. Calloway, Free, Terrence J. and Rocsi.

Bow Wow, 25, will greet television’s ‘livest’ studio audience alongside “The Search” winners, Ms. Mykie, 23; Paigion, 24; and Shorty Da Prince, 23. After three months of co-hosting the show with Terrence J., Rocsi and a number of celebrity co-hosts, Ms. Mykie, hailing from Houston, TX, Paigon, and Shorty Da Prince, both repping Detroit, Michigan, beat out thousands of host hopefuls to earn their spot as the new co-hosts of “106 & PARK.” They will join Bow Wow 5 nights a week to bring the best of urban/pop culture, hottest music videos and A-list celebrity guests to BET viewers.

“We chose to break the mold. These 4 talented folks will bring spirit, fresh perspective and crazy fun to the 106 & Park stage. Shorty, Paigion and Miss Mykie are clearly stars and luckily for us, started gelling as a collective during The Search,” said Stephen Hill, President of Music Programming and Specials, BET Networks. “On the sneak tip, we were pursuing Bow Wow hoping he might be interested. We were thrilled when he said “yes”. The energy is palpable. The crew is assembled. We are excited about this new future of 106 & Park.”

“I am very excited to take on this new journey in my career with BET. I'm all about branding myself and not just in music, but in TV and movies,” said Bow Wow. “Everyone always wants to compare me to the Fresh Prince, well now they can call me the Fresh Prince of 106 & Park. Get ready for a whole new world.”

This week our new hosts will welcome Ke Ke Palmer, Sean Paul, Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, Condola Rashad, Adepero Oduye, Swizz Beatz, DJ Drama, Faith Evans, and David Oyelowo.

Step backward. What happened to the film career? T.I.'s leaving you behind.

When you tat yourself to look like Weezy and act like a brat-folks don't want to deal with you. Aside from Like Mike what film with him in the lead have been hits? Where he wasn't apart of a big cast? It also doesn't help Cash Money, his own label ignores him. How do you have a tour for an album that will never come out? This is a drop down for him-he should have tried some show on HBO or a bigger network than BET. The folks that watch BET for the most part are going to help him.

Lord, Bow, has it come to this? All the checks have dried up, and he has a daughter to support. Wow........

#FAIL-- you're supposed to graduate FROM hosting 106 & Park to go on to bigger and better things; not land there after your career as a performer stalls. Must be karma, Shad. Call your dad, and your daughter's mom, and beg for their forgiveness.

Some people gain new momentum/interest from hosting or certain reality gigs. It's not he's hosting Cheaters, Dance 360, or some other low-rent syndicated show. This is right in his lane. The only crappy thing is that he's sharing it with three other people instead of one. I don't think that's going to work; would be surprised if the other guy and one of the girls either got the boot, or became traveling "correspondents."

And no one compares you to Will Smith. Watch ya mout', and Beg Will for his forgiveness.
