Clarice Taylor, likely most known for her recurring role on The Cosby Show as Bill Cosby's mother ( Anna Huxtable) died on Monday at age 93, says People magazine.

Cause of death? Heart failure.

Some of her big screen roles include parts in Clint Eastwood's Play Misty for Me, Oscar Williams' Five on the Black Hand Side, and Wayne Wang's Smoke.

Awards include an Emmy nomination in 1986 for her Cosby Show role.

Ms Taylor (along with her Cosby Show co-star Phylicia Rashad) was also a member of the Negro Ensemble Company.

She is survived by two sons, and her five grandchildren.
