When he's not writing and directing feature films, Rza is busy being cast in TV serials, like the upcoming Fox drama pilot that'll be directed by Allen Hughes, titled Gang Related.
The project follows a gang member who's sent in to infiltrate the San Francisco Police Department who rises through its ranks but must balance his obligations to his crime family with an increasing sense of loyalty to his new “family” - the SFPD’s Gang Task Force.
The project comes from 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV, is written by Chris Morgan (Fast Five), with Scott Rosenbaum serving as showrunner.
Ramon Rodriguez will star, while Rza will play a character named Cassius, Rodriguez’s partner and best friend on the Gang Task Force, who's originally from the streets of Oakland.On The Man With The Iron Fist's upcoming slate are: helming John Milius’ Genghis Khan biopic, an action thriller titled No Man’s Land, and an adaptation of comic book author Grant Morrison's latest work, Happy!. There's also something an original project called One Spoon Of Chocolate.
