An event I'd definitely attend if I lived in San Francisco.
Join editor Sam Pollard—Jungle Fever (1991), Juice (1992), 4 Little Girls (1997), Bamboozled (2000), 25th Hour (2002), When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts (2006)—for an in-depth discussion on the art of editing. This class is part of the Film Society’s Behind the Scenes series presented in partnership with BAM/PFA with major support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts.
The Masterclass takes place on Friday, November 2, from 1pm - 3pm (a whole 2 hours), at FilmHouse, 1426 Fillmore Street, Suite 300; tickets are $25 for SFFS members, and $30 general public.

Mr Pollard most recently stepped away from the editor's chair to direct the feature doc Slavery By Another Name.

Tambay thanks for doing more features on black people behind the camera that aren't big names or have a flashy director's job. You guys might be opening a lot more black kids minds to the opportunities they have behind the camera. The more black kids start working in jobs behind the scenes the better the images we'll see on the screen. Also I wish I could hear Sam in S.F. Why am I currently on the east coast?!?!
