In the new photos below, say hello to Michonne's armless, jawless zombie ''pets," played by Moses J. Moseley and Theshay West

This is our first real good look at them, and obviously the actors who'll be hidden behind all that make-up as you can see in the before and after photos at the bottom of this post, which also includes additional pics of Michonne (played by Danai Gurira) in action.

The Walking Dead season 3, episode 1 will air on SundayOctober 14, at 9pm.

Season 3 will air in two 8-episode parts - the first starting on October 14, and the second beginning in February 2013

Maybe career options for both Moses J. Moseley and Theshay West will brighten up as. I looked up both gentlemen on IMDB to familiarize myself with them; Moses doesn't have an IMDB listing, but Theshay does - although there are only 2 listings, and both are for cinematography and editing (a short and a web series).

Okay everybody, help me out! Who are her pets and why does she have them? Why are they there?

  • Ken | October 20, 2012 3:56 PM

According to the book her pets are her former boyfriend and his best friend. She keeps them because for whatever reason their presence keeps other zombies away from her.

I hope this makes up for the black character, T-Dog, who is basically a grunt who is there every few episodes to lift something or complain.

LMAO! I did note how the writers "lessened" the role of the sole Black male and "bigged up" the role of the White supremacist into dashing misunderstood hero.

If this is a big move for the "zombie" actors, I don't see how. They look completely photoshopped, so how are they distinguishable from anyone else when it comes time to leverage their luck?

Awesome! Nice to see a dark skinned women of color in a lead role on a top rated show.

The photos... I have no words.
