Directed by Joshua Trank, Chronicle follows the misadventures of three high school buddies who develop uncanny powers after making an incredible discovery. As they learn to control their abilities and use them to their advantage, their darker sides begin to take over.

The film stars Michael B. Jordan, Dane DeHaan, and Alex Russell as the teens, and is set to be released in February 2012.

MTV recently dropped this rather "Blair Witch" trailer for the film:

apart from the fact that they have mutated powers, how is this like x-men?

This actually looks better than any superhero show on television and any film similar in genre! Wow!!! I will be catching this!

It is rare that a trailer for a mainstream film that I initially had little to no interest in can leave me feeling like an eager and excited fanboy. If the execution of the movie can live up to the execution of this fantastic trailer then this feature is going to be very good.
