About That Popular 'Black Films Don't Sell ...Seen S. Epatha Merkerson Lately?
After 19 years and 391 episodes playing Lt. Van Buren on Law & Order (and no doubt collecting residuals until the end of days), S. Epatha Merkerson can pretty much take it easy and do whatever she feels like when she wants to.
And that includes doing TV commercials .Actually she's done a few in the past, but here's her latest one, which she did for Lawyers.com, and which plays off the direct, no nonsense image she created for Van Buren on the show.

I love that commercial too. There's something so reassuring about her that makes the product seem better. Glad to see her getting some work although i'd love to see her do more dramatic work.
