About That Popular 'Black Films Don't Sell ...Sequel To "Salt" Is Underway; Angelina Jolie Returning. Chiwetel Ejiofor?
Well... at least it could mean more work, and thus a paycheck for Mr Chiwetel Ejiofor, and given the way the first one ended, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that Sony Pictures is moving forward with a sequel.
Kurt Wimmer has reportedly started writing the screenplay (and will direct), for Angelina Jolie to return as Evelyn Salt, the CIA agent who we eventually learn is indeed a Russian spy, though there's more to the thriller, which has its share of twists and turns. I didn't care much for it; A-list cast; B-movie hokum, in short.
Ejiofor's talents are pretty much wasted in it. But, as I said, I'm sure it was a nice paycheck.
Will he return for the sequel? Probably. Going against usual expectations, the brotha actually lived to see the end of the film, to fight another day.
So what should the sequel to Salt be called? Pepper

of course he has to come back, his character did let Salt loose, he will eoither be held accountable or be in charge to track her again or a combination of bove, it's a good paycheck and hollywood exposure in a movie with an a-list actress... i don't think it hurts to do that... after all, we need all sorts of movies and action-spy movies are part of the movie mix one can enjoy

@ Pepper Boooo LOL. Where's a rimshot when you need one?
I didn't hate 'Salt', but all of the epsionage double agent stuff seemed like old hat to me as a fan of '24' throughout its entire run and frankly '24' did it better. I would love for some of those writers to work on a sequel. If 'Salt 2: The Pepper' trailer looks good I might check it out...or see it on DVD...or cable...
