Sherri Shepard will take over the role of the wicked stepmother in the Broadway production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," producers announced Aug. 5. She joins actress Keke Palmer, who, as was announced yesterday, will step into the title role in early September.
Shepard who is leaving "The View" this month, after serving as co-host for 8 years, will officially join the "Cinderella" cast as Madame on September 9 - the same date that Keke Palmer will also make her Broadway debut in the show's title role.
In terms of stage credits, Shepard was seen in the Off-Broadway run of "Love, Loss and What I Wore."
