The Confessions of Steve McQueen is an interestingly shot documentary syle video of British artist and filmmaker Steve McQueen directed by Alison Chernick of Nowness.com. In it, McQueen discusses the inspiration and themes of his latest sex addiction drama Shame.
From the site:
Cornered in his hotel room during the Toronto Film Festival, the ever-provocative Steve McQueen ruminates on free will, desire and his upcoming film Shame in Alison Chernick’s latest short. “I wanted to discuss the theme of imprisonment in his films—in this case psychological," reveals Chernick. "But after seeing Shame I was more focused on the collide between morality and addiction, where one ends and the other begins.”

With the pace at will McQueen is going, shouldn't be long before he emerges as one of the most respected directors. Hoping his career keeps booming.

I just read that McQueen and Fassbender are re-teaming yet again for 12 Years A Slave, the Solomon Northrup-based film with Chewie E. ! This should be interesting. Wasn't B. Pitt supposed to be in this too? So many bits of info, this latest seems the only concrete one (from Variety). Roll on with the filming!
