Legend Sidney Poitier has already published two highly regarded and successful memoirs. Now he's venturing into a whole new field altogether.

It was revealed yesterday that Poitier has written his first fiction novel, a sci-fi work to be published in May 2013.

The book will be called Montaro Caine - a title that was inspired by Poitier's decades-long friend, actor Michael Caine.

As for the plotline for the book, Poitier is so far keeping it a secret, but he was quoted as saying that his book is "sort of like Indiana Jones, but better."

You can pre-order a copy of the novel on Hardcover and Kindle HERE.

Interesting. This actually could end up being very good. I preordered a copy on Amazon so I don't forget. There's already a cover for it. Of course, the next question is, movie rights?
