Sidney Poitier Honored At 2011 Chaplin Award Gala (Pics)

Last night, here in New York City, in a black tie affair, the Film Society Of Lincoln Center honored Sidney Poitier with the prestigious 38th annual Chaplin Award.

The star-studded event included the likes of Bill Cosby, Danny Glover, Harry Belafonte, James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, Quincy Jones, Quentin Tarantino , Ruby Dee and Chris Tucker, amongst many others, some of whom made presentations.

I was actually invited to the event, but had to miss it for a number of reasons; However, rest-assured that I won't be missing many more of these kinds of events from hereon - especially if I'm invited :)
