SimonSays Entertainment, the blossoming production house behind critical hits like Night Catches UsGun Hill Road, and the upcoming Blue Caprice, and Mother Of George, has announced a summer call for screenplays.

As an aside, I interviewed the company's principals - Ron Simons (founder and president of the company) and Producing Associate, April Yvette Thompson - in February, and you're encouraged to read that interview HERE if you missed it. It was an extensive piece profiling the company.

Here are the details of their call for summer script submissions:

SimonSays Entertainment only considers scripts that have been submitted via our online submission process. We accept agent submissions of full-length feature film screenplays or plays that are production-ready.

Developmental drafts, shorts and documentaries will not be considered.

Writers without representation should attach a 10 page excerpt from the script with the application.

All submissions must be received on the following dates only:

- May 1st – May 7th

- September 15th – September 22nd

SimonSays Entertainment will be accepting Thriller, Psychological Thriller and Horror Screenplays only during the following dates:

- June 6th – June 17th

Submissions before or after those dates will not be considered. You will receive a confirmation email once we have all materials.

Due to the high volume of submissions, we are unable to give status updates or script notes, so please don’t contact our offices for that information. However, if the project is a good fit, we will certainly contact you with next steps.

Thank you for your submission and for considering SimonSays Entertainment.
