Starz has added Sinqua Walls, as well as Kathrine Narducci and Adam Huss (both from The Sopranos) to the cast of the upcoming hour-long STARZ Original drama series Power, which stars Omari Hardwick, is executive produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and created by Courtney Kemp Agboh (The), who will serve as executive producer and showrunner.
Via press release from Starz, Power tells the story of wealthy New York City nightclub owner, James "Ghost" St. Patrick (played by Hardwick), who caters to the city's elite. He wants to build an empire, turn the club into a Fortune 500 business, but there's just one problem: he is living a double life. When he is not in the club, he is the kingpin of the most lucrative drug network in New York for a very high-level clientele. His marriage, family and business all become unknowingly threatened as he is tempted to leave his criminal life behind and become the rags-to-riches businessman he wants to be most of all.
Naturi Naughton will play Tasha St. Patrick, wife, confidant and willing accomplice to James (Hardwick).
Lela Loren was cast as Angela Valdes, an old flame of Omari Hardwick’s James “Ghost” St. Patrick who unexpectedly reenters his life.
Joseph Sikora will play Tommy Egan, childhood best friend and business partner to “Ghost.”
New additions Walls will play Shawn, a once-promising college basketball player, who was injured and now works as Ghost’s personal chauffeur; Narducci will play Frankie, described as "a sexy lesbian" who's also the U.S. Attorney in charge of an ongoing investigation into the drug trade, and is also Angela’s (Lela Loren) boss; and Huss will play Josh, manager of Ghost’s nightclub.
Power will begin production on an eight hour-long episode first season this fall and is expected to premiere on STARZ in 2014.
