Alex Kurtzman/Bob Orci's Sleepy Hollow starring Nicole Beharie and the JJ Abrams/J.H Wyman co-production Almost Human, starring Michael Ealy, are among the drama series pilots picked up by the Fox network.

"Almost Human"
Almost Human, also starring Karl Urban and Lily Taylor,  is described by Deadline as an action-packed police drama set ahead 35 years into the future, at a time when police officers and human-like androids are teamed up. Things get interesting when a cop

"with an aversion to robots and a robot with unexpected emotional responses investigate cases in a brave new world."

Sleepy Hollow
is a modern day retelling of the Washington Irving classic. The action-adventure follows Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) as he is resurrected and sent through two and a half centuries of time to discover the modern world is "on the brink of destruction". It's up to Crane to save humanity with the help of Nicole Beharie, who plays police officer, as they solve an ancient mystery.

    Sleepy Hollow looks ridiculous!

There is no point in even being frustrated with people like this @Fiona. Anyone with good sense will know that some of the most outlandish tv show adaptations or ideas (or ridiculous ones according to whoever this person is) have become major successes whether critically or profit-wise. People virtually brag about 'True Blood' and I've read reviews where people who've watched 'Hemlock Grove' couldn't stop watching the full season even though they thought it was tacky. lol.

But like I said, no need to be frustrated. Let this person go back to watching daytime stories.
