After traveling the film festival circuit throughout last year, and winning acclaim along the way, filmmaker/activist Byron Hurt's latest work, Soul Food Junkies, which explores the health advantages and disadvantages of what we call Soul Food - an investigation into what he calls "the dark side of the food industry and the growing food justice movement that has been born in its wake" - will air nationally on PBS's Independent Lens, starting this Monday, January 142013, at 10pm.

Vanessa saw the film at the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) over the summer, and she reviewed it enthusiastically, HERE.

Now the rest of you will get a chance to finally see it as well, so mark your calendars.
