According to Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times and a few other media sources, Sony Pictures is working double time on post-production to complete the upcoming Sparkle remake with Whitney Houston.

The reason is two fold; first to prevent any scenes from Houston from being leaked online before the film's official release and second for a possible earlier release of the film to, let's face it,  bascialy capitalize off Hosuton's new resurgent popularity after her recent death.

Reoprtedly Sony is considering moving the release of the film to sometime in May from its orginal August 17th release date.

You know, I kind of had a feeling that something like this was going to happen. I couldn't imagine Sony was going to wait until August to cash in. That's the nature of show biz.
