About That Popular 'Black Films Don't Sell ...Stanley Nelson Briefly Explores 'The Auto-Tune Effect'
Award-winning producer/director/writer Stanley Nelson, who won 3 Emmys last year for his documentary Freedom Riders, tackles auto-tune for Focus Forward - a new series of short documentary films that "highlight noteworthy people, and world-changing ideas that have impacted the course of human development, or with great potential to significantly affect how we live in the next generation."
Nelson is just one of several international filmmakers who were asked to contribute films to the series. This is his contribution (we'll continue to highlight others):
You’re humming along, tapping your toe, maybe nodding your head, listening to your favorite song, the artist’s vocals ascending higher and higher up the scale to that heart-stopping, tear inducing pitch perfect note. Flawless. Inhuman? Auto-tune is transforming music. Listening will never be the same.

right there with all the inventors of different microphones that allow artists voices to be heard by millions more people than could here their live unplugged voices. It is the same concept increase the sample sized, increase traction and retention.
