‘Raptor’ T.I. will be a season-long guest star in Boss, the Starz drama series who stars Kelsey Grammar as ruthless Chicago mayor Tom Kane.

According to Deadline, T.I. will play a former gangbanger named Trey with aspirations of a career in Chicago’s City Hall; he’ll portray a gangster who dabbles into politics and Chicago’s high crime scene simultaneously. Trey is the connection between the local city council and gangs.

T.I. was last seen on the big screen in the ensemble cast action flick Takers. He can also be seen in the VH1 reality show Grand Hustle.

    T.I., a mayor? Please.

@Ash: Yep, my bad. I read that all backwards. Put in that light, I'm still not sure about him trying to be the political type. Could be interesting though, I suppose.

Kelsey Grammer plays the mayor. TI plays a gangster with political aspirations who connects the political types to Chicago's gangs as the blurb denotes. Having said that, I think he'll do alright in this.

And by "please," I mean, "seriously?" *rolls eyes*

Now I am willing to bet you S&A haters not going to say 1 damn thing about this cause you Luvvvv T.I. even though it seems that is all we can play is this type of role, but you all will come down on THE WALKING DEAD for portrayals of Black folk in that series and I got nothing at all against Kelsey Grammar. But some Black folks Hypocritical of certain subjects is just too much.!!!!

Plus no one (or very few people) watch Starz original programs - I don't even have Starz. But most have AMC. So just no interest here. 'Course I have no interest in zombie shows either so couldn't care less about the discussion over there, lol.

Are you referring to S&A or the people who make comments on the boards? You know, LEON, it was your post that made me check out this T.I. news. I'm not sure what is going on over on the TWD post, but I think that maybe the silence on this T.I. post could be viewed with a different lens. I click on a post that looks interesting to me. I barely saw, but noted, this post on the home page, but it was not relevant or of any interest to me, personally so I didn't open up the link. I got enough information from heading. So maybe people don't "Luvvvv T.I." (like dat), maybe this crowd is more apathetic than apologetic.
