"Yes it's true, it has been optioned!" Those were the exact words from author Dolen Perkins-Valdez in a very brief exchange through Facebook, when I asked her if her compelling debut novel Wench had indeed been optioned for a movie adaptation.

Here's your first official look at Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises, from director Christopher Nolan. Also included are images of her stunt double, and to be frank, looking at the set of images, Nolan should have cast her stunt double for the role instead of Hathaway, who looks more like a teenage girl playing dress-up on Halloween.

It hasn't officially aired on BBC America for those of us in the USA (although, I'm sure if you looked hard enough, you'll find each episode online), but season 2 of the critically-acclaimed Idris Elba BBC drama Luther has already ended in the UK.

We've known that creator Todd McFarlane has been working on and pushing for a reboot of Spawn, which was adapted into a 1997 feature film, starring Michael Jai White (reviews were mixed, though I liked it; not sure how well it holds up today though).

Announced about a year ago, the graphic novel, A Contract With God And Other Tenement Stories, published in 1978 by the late cartoonist, Will Eisner, is being adapted into a feature-length film with 4 directors attached to direct each of the four short stories the book tells: A Contract With God, The Super, The Street Singer, and Cookalein.
