Nothing terribly exciting... A casting sheet I've received for Tyler Perry's I Alex Cross project reveals that his character will be a father with 2 young children - a 7 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. Obviously, he has no wife in the movie, because, as the synopsis states, he'll be tracking down a serial killer (to be played by Matthew Fox) who may have murdered his wife years before.

"GRRRR.. D T the writer/director just landed in New York with the good news. We can start filming this summer. However, there is a catch... in order for us to make a true R rated film, I must work for scale upfront. Not unlike the "Find me Guilty" experience (which I wouldn't have changed for the world)... Money is always second to art, integrity and spirit... but the real issue is deeper. Can I suspend my life, to momentarily venture to that dark place... called Riddick."

I don't think I've seen this film in ages... I'd have to return to it to remind myself of it. It was pretty much the Geena Davis show, with Samuel L. Jackson assuming sidekick duties, if I recall correctly. But I think I mostly enjoyed it. Released in 1996, it was kind of like Bourne before Bourne - a trained killing machine/human suffering from memory loss, starts to regain pieces of her past, when that past catches up to her, and, in turn, finally realizes who/what she really is.

Rejoice And Shout, a film we've written about a couple of times on Shadow And Act, while it screened on the festival and series circuit last year, will now be released in theaters across the country.
