In the latest issue of Sister 2 Sister magazine, rapper T.I. reveals he was asked to appear in Tower Heist alongside Eddie Murphy but, due to his incarceration, missed out on the opportunity.

The project Question Bridge: Black Males was one of the few selected for the inaugural Sundance "New Frontier Story Lab. The piece, directed by Chris Johnson & Hank Willis Thomas, is said to be a "transmedia art project that seeks to represent and redefine Black male identity in America."

An inside source involved in the production of NBC's The Playboy Club just informed me that the show has indeed been cancelled. Of course this news comes as no surprise to those of us whom have followed the show since its premiere. With the steep decline in ratings seen after each episode aired, it was inevitable that the doors were set to close on NBC's period-piece series.

We've sure have some very knowledge people who read Shadow And Act. When I saw that Tambay posted an item about the Steve McQueen/Chiwetel Ejiofor film project 12 Years A Slave, based on the autobiography by Solomon Northrup, a free black man in New York who was kidnapped and forced to work as a slave in the South, it immediately brought to mind Solomon Northrup's Oddessy.
