The feature-length French police procedural Polisse, from director/writer Maïwenn, has been garnering acclaim since 2011, when it took home the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.  This year, it received an impressive 13 César Award nominations; including a Best Supporting Actor nod to rapper/actor Joeystarr.

Millenium Films' A Little Bit of Heaven, directed by Nicole Kassell and written by Gren Wells, will open on limited release May 4, 2012, and will see a DVD release on June 12, 2012. The film has been available on Itunes since April 3rd. The rom-com about a young woman dealing with life with cancer, stars Kate Hudson, Gael Garcia Bernal, Kathy Bates, Rosemarie DeWitt, Romany Malco, Whoopi Goldberg amongst others.

The 71-minute documentary Indochina, Traces of A Mother by Beninese filmmaker Idrissou Mora-Kpai, follows Afro-Vietnamese orphan decendants, now in their 50's, of Vietnamese mothers and West African fathers - Senegalese riflemen or tirailleurs sénégalais - who were recruited by the French during the French Indochina War, which took place in southeast Asia's French colony from December 19, 1946 and which lasted until August 1, 1954.

Written and directed by Jason Barrett, the Vision in Progress British production The Naked Poet, is currently seeking supporters via their website. The film, a romantic comedy about a man named Lazarus caught in a love triangle between his girlfriend and a newfound love, needs a 100,000 signatures in order to receive theatrical distribution in the UK.
