Unfortunately, my cable provider doesn't carry ASPiRE, so I didn't get to see the new network's new talk show, Exhale - hosted by Angela Burt-Murray, Erin Jackson, Issa Rae, Malinda Williams and Rene Syler - last night, when it made its broadcast debut.I was hoping the episode would be available on ASPiRE's website today, but it doesn't look like it will be.Did you tune in last night? If so, your thoughts? Reactions? Etc?Exhale, which is ASPiRE’s 3rd original series, is directed by Victoria Mahoney, and produced by Lynne Robinson and Black Robin Media. The 8-episode summer run has officially begun.

So it aired last night on OWN, and many more of you finally got to see it, after over a year on the film festival circuit. Of course I'm referring to the broadcast premiere of Bill Duke's and D. Channsin Berry's documentary, Dark Girls.

Has American television ever seen a character like John Luther - as played by Idris Elba in the hit BBC One series, Luther? The genius, emotionally-impulsive detective tormented by humanity's darker side, complicatedly-drawn and incisively brought to life on screen by Mr Elba.
