Author, cultural critic, TV personality and MSNBC pundit Toure (nee Toure Neblett) has been named as one of the co-hosts for a new MSNBC show The Circle, which premieres next Monday.

Despite the entire pilot episode of this new Cedric the Entertainer original scripted sit-com for TV Land being made available on the web a full week before its official TV debut, last night's premiere of The Soul Man still managed to pull in 1.9 million viewers during its 10pm time slot (1 million viewers in the adults 25-54 demographic), to make it TV Land's second highest-rated original series debut ever, behind the June 2010 season premiere of Hot in Cleveland.

Maybe it's because I just haven't watched BET in a long time, that may explain why I don't recall them getting creative with their Awards show promos; the network will roll out the promos in the days/weeks leading up to the broadcast of the awards show on Sunday, July 1 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

BBC3 is prepping an hour-long documentary that will tackle racism in football (or what we call soccer here in the west) with plans to broadcast the film on the same day that the verdict in the racism trial of English professional footballer, and former captain of the England national football team, John Terry, is expected to be delivered.
