By the way, I'm going paneling again... if you're in the New York City area this weekend, here's something to do that's worth your while.

CaribbeanTales Worldwide Distribution presents its New York Film Showcase, a special festival of film screenings, panel discussions and networking. The inaugural one-day event will take place at Long Island University's Brooklyn campus, in the Spike Lee Screening Room.

I'll be on the 2:30PM slot, in a panel titled Diasporic Synergies: A cross section of media producers working across the Diaspora reflect on the synergies and co-ventures possible with the Caribbean, which will be moderated by Professor Michelle Materre.

It'll be preceded by a screening - co-presented with Third World Newsreel - of The Other Side of the Water, Calypso Dreams.

Full details of the entire day's activities HERE.

Admission is FREE!
