Tamara Tunie and Daphne Rubin-Vega have signed up to star in an indie drama titled Fall To Rise, the feature film directorial debut of Jayce Bartok, who also penned the script.
The film centers on a legendary dance who, despite the objections from her best friend, is driven to return to dance after the birth of a child.
Real-life professional dancers Katherine Crockett and Desmond Richardson round out the starring cast, with Crockett playing the lead.
Meanwhile, Daphne Rubin-Vega will play the best friend. But no word on what roles Tunie and Richardson have signed up for.
Details when we have them.
Tiffany Bartok and Patrick R. Morris are producing the film, with filming set to begin this week in New York City at the Baryshnikov Arts Center.
